Job Description

The job of an Interaction Designer is to envision how people experience our products and bring that vision to life. In this role, you’ll take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for our clients around the world.

You'll collaborate closely with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers throughout the design process from crafting user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes.

At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.

The Interaction Designer will support and report to UX Manager.

Responsibility

With some guidance from senior level design staff :

Help define the user model and user interface for new and existing products and features.

Develop high level and / or detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

Gauge the usability of products and make constructive suggestions for change

Planning and estimating work

Play a supportive role in planning, running, and synthesizing qualitative & quantitative user research, contribute to test plan design

Qualification

BA / BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, Human Factors / Ergonomics, CS, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

2+ years of experience in a related field.

Demonstrated experience in crafting usable digital interfaces

Professional References

Must have a portfolio of past design work

Technical Skills

Demonstrated proficiency in these areas :

UX prototyping experience with tools like Axure, Figma (or other popular industry design tools)

Experience creating personas, scenarios, navigational maps, flow diagrams, wireframes and prototypes

Experience planning and running usability testing and synthesizing the results into actionable recommendations

Basic knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

Interest in tracking user metrics to inform design decisions.

Experience with Agile practices

Mobile design (native & web) experience preferred.

Experienced and comfortable working with Agile development teams

Highly collaborative, flexible and communicative

Strong organizational skills

Self-motivated

Comfortable presenting recommendations to colleagues and stakeholders

Familiar with Design Thinking and Lean UX principles & techniques

As a UX Interaction Designer, you will be part of a talented high-energy, global Experience Design (XD) team that defines end-to-end digital experiences of products and solutions on the web and mobile platforms.

Our approach to experience design is grounded in Design Thinking and human-centered design principles. We work with cross-functional product teams to build empathy for our users / clients, define, build, validate and iterate design concepts to build compelling products.

We continually challenge the status quo and each other to outline and adopt best practices by taking an agile approach to deliver quickly.

We define a product branding and unification strategy while adding value to the development of reusable assets and design patterns.
