IRTA is currently seeking a researcher with expertise in Systems Biology Applied to Infectious Diseases to work in the Animal Health Program.
Within this framework, IRTA is proposing a research position with the following characteristics.
To work and collaborate with different research lines at the program dealing with pathogen-host interactions.
To contribute to the research lines and strategic activities by applying to competitive grants and other resource raising activities.
To collaborate in the design, planning, and implementation of research projects and contracts.
To contribute to the innovation, dissemination and transfer of knowledge to the agri-food sector and the society.
To help positioning the Program as a group of excellence through regular peer-reviewed publications, contributions at national and international congresses and supervision of PhD and postdoctoral researchers.

Skills / Qualifications
Essential requirements :
To hold a PhD degree in Health Sciences and / or Biology / Biochemistry, with more than 4 years of postdoctoral experience.
Experience in systems biology applied to infectious diseases, in the integration of high-throughput multi-omics data (transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, etc.
to understand the networks and dynamic interactions between the biological components of the complex pathogen-host system.
Good level of English, both spoken and written. Catalan and Spanish will be valued.
Desirable requirements :
Experience to prepare and participate in competitive calls for National and International projects.
Experience in supervising PhD students.
Good oral communication and writing skills.
