Role Purpose / Mission :
Ingenico EMEA R&D operates an external facing solution development capability that is responsible for client engagement, delivery of exceptional outcomes and supporting the business to drive revenue and margin at both a direct billable level and more widely within the customer account.
The scope of this role extends from the direct leadership of the TSS Iberian R&D team serving MS GBL (located in Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon) and its subsequent delivery performance, driving resource and project management, together with engagement with MS GBL key representatives (mainly Sales team) and their final customers (retailers and integrators).
Its scope requires as well as the ability of building excellent customer / cross functional / organisational relationships so best practices in project and program management remain the standard.
The role requires mastering SW development lifecycle and the delivery of projects to an extremely high standard, while adding and demonstrating value to Ingenico’s customers on a continuous basis.
Areas of specific focus include but are not limited to :
Development and Delivery Management
End-to-end management of internal and external customer projects and programs, with the support of Iberian PM / PMO structure and respecting EMEA standards.
End-to-end SW development lifecycle management, with proactive attitude to achieve continuous improvements in processes and tooling, in the different disciplines that apply to a SW R&D.
Pre-sales consultation and project business case development / management to ensure appropriate project initiation with full customer engagement.
Effective project and capacity planning in line with business priorities as well as associated cost and timeline boundaries.
Identification of, and effective engagement with, appropriate stakeholders. Identification and procurement of all project resources and effective scheduling of shared human resources within a matrix managed organisation.
Work closely with customer, senior responsible owners / stakeholders and key team members to ensure that the project goals are realistic, the correct delivery structure / environment is created to support the scope of work and clear lines of accountability are established.
Effective evaluation, planning and management of project contingency. Identification and management of risks / issues / actions to ensure satisfactory completion and delivery to project milestone plans, deploying effective escalation where required.
The job will also encompass any other duties and activities required to fulfil the demands of the department.
Promote and protect Ingenico and the Solution Delivery (R&D + Project Management) teams’ reputation in course of any engagement or general business activity.
Team management, including increasing team competences.
Continuous improvement of specific project management processes and procedures in line with business change / demands.
Build, implement & socialize best practices as a professional agent of change within the organisation.
Proactive identification and presentation of business change opportunities to the senior management team.
Proactive research of current industry standards and best practice for SW development and eventually for project management, making proposals that lead to continuous improvement.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience :
Excellent English (oral and written) is essential plus good Spanish (Portuguese is a key plus).
Demonstrable experience (minimum 5 years) managing projects and delivering complex projects in a technology environment.
Experience of managing software delivery projects (minimum 5 years). Payment industry experience is preferred.
Proven experience driving highly skilled teams.
Self-supportive with an outstanding degree of initiative and enthusiasm, requiring minimal management and able to foster change in highly demanding and dynamic environments.
Ability to analyse and present project goals and progress at a senior level through production of best-in-class reporting.
Excellent client facing skills, including influential communication and negotiation.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with SW development tooling (JIRA, GIT, Jenkins ).

Budgetary input and control (cost recording / reporting) for assigned projects.
This position will involve eventual travel to Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon, overnight stays and out of hours working.
