    on the ground, in the sky and in space. Description of the job An opportunity has arisen in Airbus Defence and Space in Madrid to join the recently created Advanced Projects department in Spain.

    The mission of the selected candidate will be managing proposals for feasibility and Phase 0 / A / B studies shaping the future and supporting the strategy of the company.

    Additionally, the candidate will support or manage proposals for technology and / or product developments in line with the company strategy and roadmaps.

    Identifying and meeting the customer’s expectations, and positioning Airbus in the core of the ENS business growth will be the main focus of the selected candidate.

    The tasks to be accomplished encompass : Supporting TSEA - Spain in the definition of ENS roadmaps in the different domains : Earth Observation & Science, Navigation, Defence & Security, New Business, National Institutional missionsIdentifying short and long term opportunities in the institutional, national or export market for the development of the strategy (e.

    g. identifying relevant ITTs for new missions or technology development), and providing relevant inputs to the KAMsIdentifying technology roadmaps and R&D funding lines supporting the ENS roadmapsManaging the elaboration of proposals for future programs, in close coordination with TSEIX and TMSE.

    This implies taking the ownership of the proposal from the Go / No Go decision until the submission of the proposal and the participation to the eventual negotiation process.

    The bid manager will coordinate all teams involved in the preparation of the proposal, including engineering, costing, marketing, commercial and contractual interfaces.

    It will also be responsibility of the bid manager to ensure smooth and adequate handover of responsibilities to the nominated study manager.

    Representing TSEA in the BnB decisions in the process of the proposal preparationRepresenting TSEA in the generation of capture plans for ENS campaignsRepresenting TSEA in conducting MG03 / MG04, and in the process of proposal approvalKeeping an innovative mindset promoting the game challenging ideasPromoting and building customer confidence in Airbus ENS Madrid This role involves regular travel for business (ca.

    2 per month). The following skills are required : More than 5 years of experience in Space Systems projects is required.

    Knowledge of engineering processes and methods, as well as engineering managementExperience as systems engineer is a plus, as well as experience in managing projects / teamsExperience in working in an international environment and within Airbus groupGood communication skills with the ability to adapt to different contexts and targetsInnovation mindsetTeam player -
