Successfully develops and execute market access strategies and programs to ensure and secure positive market assess and funding for Cepheid’s diagnostic tests.

The successful candidate will also play a critical role in tailoring value proposition in new product development plan with marketing, Medical Scientific Affairs, and commercial leaders and have the ability to work with all relevant stakeholder group and influencers : clinicians, laboratory, procurement officials to facilitate and optimize market penetration.

In this role you will have the opportunity to :

Manage the Market Access related activities in Iberia

Build and foster relationships with policy makers, payors, key prospect customer groups, influencers and relevant governmental agencies and committees

Develop and execute national / local market access plans supporting value proposition, pricing and funding including healthcare landscape assessment, stakeholder’s engagement, and business case analysis

Responsible for identifying and recruiting appropriate study and prospective customer sites (early adopters) together with Medical and Scientific Affairs (MedSci) and local marketing management.

Actively contribute to relevant working group(s) of manufacturer organization to operate in a favorable environment

Validate value messages together with (and for) different stakeholder groups

Monitor and report on national health care priorities, market trends and policy changes that impact the product adoption

Takes active part of cross-functional new product development teams to ensure local evidence needs is captured in product development plans and timelines.

Develop relevant internal training to commercial, marketing, MedSci to increase awareness and understanding of outcomes / health economics in product uptake.

Collaborate with Country Manager / General Manager to build strategic plan(s) for current and new products

Collaborate and communicate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across the market access strategy

Key requirements :

Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR

Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience OR

Doctoral degree in field with 3+ years of work experience

Knowledge and skills :

Knowledge of Diagnostics industry, biology

5 + years or relevant professional experience and prior experience with existing relationship with key decision makers

Exceptional organizational and project management skills, including ability to manage multiple tasks at once, respond to tight timelines, pay attention to detail and operate independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong relationship building, networking, diplomacy, influencing and collaboration skills with demonstrated history of working with a broad range of stakeholders.

Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a cross-functional team, including associates from public affairs, medical / scientific affairs, and commercial operations

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships

Excellent understanding of regional funding

Strategic mindset and experience of innovative market access strategy in commercial success

Proven track record / success in achieving funding / reimbursement for innovative products in Clinical Diagnostics marketplace : IVDs

English fluent is mandatory

Portuguese will be a plus
