Responsible for profitable growth of Thermo Fisher Scientific Microbiology products, for servicing accounts, and promoting all existing and new Thermo Scientific products to customers within the designated territory.
This will be achieved by direct selling using the telephone as the primary communication tool, webconferencing when appropriate, and with e mail used for confirming or sending information.
To qualify leads and pass as appropriate to the relevant Field Account Manager. All company commercial policies will be implemented and the high image of Thermo Fisher Scientific will be upheld at all times.
Key Responsibilities :
Achieve the quarterly and annual sales targets and update the forecasts monthly.
Introduce new products and promotions and actively seek to secure an order. Convert accounts to MBD products where competitor products are used.
Achieve greater share of customer’s wallet, cross sell the breadth of Thermo Fisher Scientific, and qualify prospects for the field team, through development of strong relationships with assigned customers.
Sell at published list price whenever possible. If required, a special pricing offer can be made from the framework agreed with the Country Sales Lead.
All quotations must be followed up within 24 working hours of issue.

Be a role model as a representative of Thermo Fisher Scientific. All company / customer / product information to be kept confidential.
Live and be an advocate for Thermo Fisher 4i’s. Participate in PPI activities as required.
CRM is the main reporting tool, and must be kept up to date; activities, opportunities, market issues and trends to be entered after every sales call.
Deliver a high level of customer excellence through service and technical support, raising complaints when necessary.
Attend sales meetings, seminars, symposia and training programmes as directed.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :
Graduate with life sciences degree (preferably Microbiology)
Ideally some laboratory experience in a relevant area
Excellent communicator; orally and in writing
Possess the ability to work independently and in teams
Demonstrate commercial acumen; shows desire to succeed to achieve a sales target
Highly self-motivated and tenacious with a can do attitude
Take initiative in skills and role development
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria :
Microbiology knowledge and experience
Excellent telephone communication skills
Native Spanish language and business fluent in English. Portuguese or Italian would be a plus
