For our Marketing and Communications Team we are currently looking for a Creative Service Manager. This permanent role is to be filled in our office in Barcelona.
The position can be partially executed from remote.
Your role :
Leading our international creative service team (including graphic designers and media), reinforcing their creative capabilities and development.
Responsible for the creative output of the design team, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and brand design.
Mapping the growth of the MDPI Corporate Brand and it's migration to a centralized design system (Frontify).
Collaborate with the creative team in different offices to establish a unified brand understanding and voice for the company.
Overseeing the rebranding work carried out in collaboration with our UX design and graphic design team.
Liaise with internal teams in Editorial, Marketing, IT, UX and external agencies as needed.
Main tasks :
Ensuring effectiveness and well-being of the creative team.
Managing and working with designers and other experts from a global network of offices (primarily in Europe and South East Asia).
Development and optimization of the Corporate Design.
Supporting the team in correct application and documentation of the brand guidelines.
Identify and react to brand and market trends, consumer needs, and the competitive landscape.
Ensuring a smooth collaboration between the creative service team and other teams / departments.
Ensuring quality and consistency of the team's creative output.
Optimizing the team's creative workflows, tools and practices.
Effective conceptualization and presentation of ideas to stakeholders.
Assist HR in the selection and review process of applicants from the creative field.
Bachelor's degree in a design-related field or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of professional experience in a related role including Corporate brand management and leadership function.
Strong leadership skills, social skills, and the ability to work effectively in teams.
Good sense of design elements, extensive knowledge in visual design, branding and corporate communication.
Proficiency in the verbal and written use of English language.
Ability to work in an international environment involving different cultures. -
General experience with creative practices, methods and industry-related tools.
