Damco is looking for a Land Side Services Operations Senior who will be in charge of the Value-Added-Service (VAS) operation for the main customers of the VAS department and will also be taking care of the invoicing of all operations performed.

The role in this position is to take care of all operation aspects of several tasks and provide an efficient / professional and high quality service to our customers in accordance with Damco standards and procedures.

The position is based in Algeciras.

Key responsibilities

1. VAS Operation for main accounts

  • Closely follow the delivery process to each customer
  • Be in contact with all customers and inform them on time
  • Close collaboration with other Damco operation / sales people involved
  • Monitor all documentation received and needed for invoicing / customs
  • 2. VAS Procurement / Sales

  • Look for the best supplier / vendor for each operations performed
  • Maintain a database of cost applicable for VAS Operations
  • Accountable for sending the quote to the customer when asked
  • 3. VAS Invoicing for main accounts

  • Provide invoice on time for each customer
  • Follow up with payment if necessary supporting finance department
  • 4. Continuous improvement in the current task

  • Ensure IOP / SOP are correctly updated with current procedures
  • Always try to find the best / smartest way to perform the JOB
  • We are looking for

  • 5-7 years in a similar position
  • Proven track record in Operation Customer Service for 3PL
  • Solid Knowledge of all the processes involved in a 3PL
  • Very good level of Spanish and English.
  • Good command of Microsoft tools.
  • Very organized, sense of urgency, multitask person.
  • Analytical skills, problem solving, able to make quick decisions
  • Good communication skills
