The Role

EEW are seeking a Battery Energy Storage Analyst to join our dynamic team in Madrid. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the project development teams in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

The analyst should have an understanding and experience in the following :

  • Responsible for our in-depth market analysis driving future business pipelines
  • Lead and support solar technical due diligence assessments for investors
  • Review commercial and utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar projects as part of project acquisitions at different stages including feasibility, development, operation, and sale
  • Research and shortlist new PV equipment and BESS technologies that will increase value to our clients
  • Create modelling software for bankable energy yield production estimates
  • Create software tools to optimize solar and storage designs for energy yield and project value with respect to levelised cost of energy
  • Use internal tools and industry standards to optimize project designs for constraints such as scope, schedule, budget and geography;
  • Support business development activities to secure new engagements and develop client relationships
  • Streamline technical inputs to bid operations
  • Stay up to date with European research and technical development
  • Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies or similar
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the energy
  • Insightful knowledge of solar & battery equipment
  • Understanding of battery energy storage and solar projects
  • Fluency in English & Spanish verbal and written
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • The right candidate will work from our office in Madrid and with the global offices in London, Monaco, Australia, New York and Sweden having a high degree of independence and working with a very dynamic team.
