Job Summary :
Responsible for Network (Service) Design,incorporating Consistency, Operability and Customer Success across the entire Equinix global ecosystem platform
Oversee day-to-day global network design and own the regional responsibility for geographical alignment
Global lead on (High-level) Designs for operability and customer success
Coordinate with Architecture and Product teams on networks (services) designs; roadmap, business drivers, operability and customer success
Support Product roadmap to design products that are cost-effective, scalable, serviceable, available, secure and incorporates world-class features, performance and enhancements that meet global internal and external customer needs.
Drive strategic planning and priorities for network design
Plan and manage capital budget, prioritizing investments and projects that maximize business value
Establish KPIs and metrics (capacity, budget, early-life-failures)
Support complex customer issues and deliverables
Simplify, standardize and optimize networks and (cloud) service designs for customer self-serve and full automation capabilities
Streamline operational procedures and processes
Develop and maintain consistent Network (Services) Design standards for the engineering teams across geographies (in close relationship with Architecture and Products)
Develops best in class processes for regional implementations (LLD) that ensures high availability, customer satisfaction and minimizes costs
Drive improvements in operability and global scaling of designs
Lead diverse team
Shape a collaborative, transparent, high-performance and entrepreneurial culture, in tandem with the Global Operations and Products leadership teams
Motivate employees around shared vision and change story in line with product roadmap, plan and Global Network transformation
Build and lead a team of highly, multiskilled professionals with unique network and IT skills and leads a regional organization (matrixed)
Knowledge and Experience :
10+ years demonstrated track record of network design / architecture and software driven network technologies; demonstrating strong thought leadership and cross functional management experience
Well versed in the functional area of Network Design with a key interest in driving best practice and global consistency
Experience optimizing in leading multi-cultural and multi functional teams leading a professional organization through a period of rapid growth and business transition
Adept at balancing intense short term pressures with overall mid to longer term goals
Focus on execution and results establishing high standards for performance, setting goals and developing plans, following through and holding people accountable for results
Ability to provide strong global, multi cultural leadership, customer centric and effectively communicate direction, work cross functionally within Global Networks and key stakeholder organization
