Grundfos Iberia is looking for a talented Service Sales Engineer based in Madrid

Job purpose

The position holder is member of the Grundfos Service & Solutions team that works closely with other internal sales and service teams to ensure a positive customer experience, doing customer visits and Grundfos equipment installed base analysis.

This person, in addition to be promoting and selling general service products (repairs / commissioning / maintenance & warranty agreements) will be focused in developing retrofit / turn-key projects.

Proactive in the End User and Facility Manager market to grow our service presence in the assigned territory.

Most of the time is spent on visiting the customer facilities to analyze them, get data and measurements for mechanical (pipes, baseplates, field elements, etc), electrical (cable sections, electrical protections, etc) and monitoring and control (P&Is, application logic, communications ) design.

The position holder will be also responsible for preparing the quotations (cost estimation, editing ), requesting and negotiating proposals from suppliers with elaboration of technical specifications, negotiating proposals in their technical and economical aspects with the customers and planning the execution of the turn-key projects and retrofits.

The role has responsibilities with up to 30-40% travel as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Some years experience in contracting and facility management
  • Knowledge and experience in the design and execution of installations, preferable in the Industry and Water Utility sectors
  • Fluent in CAD and piping / electrical calculation
  • Engineer or relevant technical academic background
  • Medium English level verbal and written
  • Ability to coach and lead sales processes or projects within the installation, operation and maintenance offering and service environment (value based selling).
  • Strong ability to influence others and earn trust
  • Experience being an influencer within a dynamic business environment
