We are looking for someone with experience with the following technologies :
Network Function Virtualization :
Traditional Networking functions such Routing, Firewalling, Load Balancing, Switching, etc. supporting designs for Cloud to Cloud Routing, Secure Cloud Connectivity, Network Optimization
Software Defined Networking (Designing, Incorporating and Configuring Branch to Cloud and WAN Optimization)
SDN / NFV Architecture based around standards from ONF, ETSI NFV ISG, OPNFV, and IETF.
Orchestration Technologies / Frameworks (MANO) such as ONAP, OSM, Open-O, CORD / XOS, Cloudify
Application and Infrastructure as a Service including :
Bare-Metal as a Service (Incorporating sizing, workload identification, architectural requirements)
Hypervisors and Virtualization technologies including those made by VMWare ESX, ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer, Oracle VM etc
Systems orchestration and automation technologies such as for Bare-Metal (Packet), Cloud (Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Terraform, Cloud Formation), Containers (Kubernetes, Docker), Systems (BMC etc)
Hybrid cloud environments including any of the major cloud vendors and on-premise deployments
Strategic Sales Support
Provides advanced technology solutioning support to Equinix global field and channel sales
Develops the account technology strategy (application of Equinix IOA) with Equinix Account Executives
Prepares and conducts Customer workshops
Prepares and delivers Customer presentations
Develops peer relationships with customers at Senior Manager or Director Level
Demonstrates Equinix values through the provision of credible and convincing reasoning through compelling solutions to have a customer choose Equinix
Research and Development
Keeps up-to-date with the state of the art by utilizing the GSE Solution Development Framework
Researches relevant technology trends
Analyses technology impacts
Recommends to stakeholders based upon research finds
Implements new technologies, standards, processes, tools and techniques
Subject Matter Expertise
Maintains Industry awareness through training, reading, research, collaboration and industry event attendance
Interfaces with fellow stakeholders in the products and solutions lifecycle such as in the EQUINIX CIO, CTO, CMO and CSO organizations on technology and service initiatives, new product introductions, technology roadmap, and commercial concerns
Technology and Innovation Insights
Provides technical subject matter expertise to Sales, Marketing and the Industry through participation in creating, developing and delivering content for proposals, marketing studies and marketing events
Supports the briefing of Sales teams on the impact of new technology
Supports the briefing of Sales teams on the features, restrictions and selling points of new Equinix products and offers
Identifies and analyzes opportunities and problems within customer context, business plans, technological statuses, and strategic direction
Identifies and develops solutions in technology, processes, organizational, impact, commercials, and implementation plans
Develops solution benefits and business cases for change
Shares findings in customer presentations
