Position Location : Anywhere in Europe
A Cloud Engineer designs, deploys, operates, and maintains infrastructure and solutions in a public cloud environment using Microsoft Azure.
The Global Portfolio Engineering (GPE) team is part of the Global Sales and Marketing organization and supports our Product, Marketing, Delivery and Training organizations around the world to create a seamless experience for our customers.
Reporting to the Global Manager Portfolio Integration & Solutions Development you will be working in a truly international environment.
This position was created as the ongoing adoption of cloud technologies requires the GPE team to be ahead of the curve and make efficient and creative use of the existing technology stack as well as adopting to new trends.
Furthermore, is essential to establish procedures and best practices, to lead the way for the rest of the organization.
The right candidate must be equipped with the ability to collaborate and work as part of an international team, and therefore requires excellent communication and coordination skills are key.
Responsibilities
Designs Internal processes and best practices to simplify and streamline the day-to-day activities.Deployment Architectures for various needs (e.
g., Azure Container Instances, Azure Kubernetes Services )
Deploys Internal Cloud Infrastructure (e.g., CI Servers, Test Systems, Development Systems )Customer Facing Cloud Infrastructure (e.g., Demo Sites)
Operates Existing and new deployments and ensure the best possible user experienceEnsures these deployments comply with internal and external security standards.
Maintains...Existing and new deployments (e.g., SSL certificates, Access requests )Manages numerous Azure Subscriptions in a consistent way apply best practices and simplifying the usage of it for our stakeholders. (e.g., Self-Service )
Acts as the cloud go-to person within our organization and provides support and guidance to individuals
Collaborate with...Marketing & Partner Technical Enablement organizationRockwell IT and external organizations
Create presentations and documents that clearly states business problems and how the CS applications will benefit to overcome those
Evaluates technology options and provides feedback on product features and performance

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge, industry application knowledge
4-5 years of experience in design / deployment / operation or maintenance of cloud-based solutions in : Industrial AutomationITOT
Excellent knowledge on the Microsoft Azure technology stack
Be able to work effectively and proficiently with the following : Programming experience inJava, C
