Pepsico Europe is expanding the high scale and complex project of warehousing automation in Europe including already delivered projects (Romania / Dragon), projects in execution phase (Burgos, Popesti, Leicester SRDC) and plan for other 5-10 projects within following 3 years.

Cost of the current and pipeline projects is ca. 130MM$ so that includes a need to centrally manage local PM’s, vendors, other central functions and external partners to create the smoothest path for the projects identification and business case preparation and central support with the executionThe role is senior and requires ability to build internal networking and enough convincing skills to direct senior leadership to the right date based conclusions.

Purpose of the role : deliver on-time and in full expert knowledge for

Maintaining the warehouse automation transformation programme with 7+ AS&RS projects

Setting up the warehousing automation governance model in business case preparation and delivery

On-going central optimization projects co-lead : update warehouse affordability matrix, WH benefits toolkit, KPI’s establishement etc

Create and maintain breakdown of the stage gate processes : vendor&technology, procurement, resourcing plant etc

Lead and align all the benefits project is generating and cost associated to deliver the financial model

Contracting agreement clauses, delivery KPI and in / out of scope for automation with linking to civil / engineering scope

Delivering the mid size warehouse automation project as total project lead as far as a multi functional resource for below including solution delivery, tender and vendor’s relation, capital appropriation request creation, change management, project substation, fit gap of AS-IS vs TO-BE :

AS&RS automated storage and retrieval system

AGV automated guided vehicles

ATLS automated truck loading systems

WMS warehouse management systems

Capability deliverables will help to close following gaps :

Share and re-apply specific knowladge with CoE and dedicated BU’s

Creates standard approach to work and promote it : ways of working, stage gates process, delivery models etc

Reporting, presentation preparation, BU wide / Europe wide steering commettee handling

Commit the full time motivated employee and increase the input quality

Maintain repeatable expert knowladge transfer from project to projects

Partially close the gap in delivery resources for selected business units

Increase the quality of the porjects execution, delivery on time and in full, guarantee post start up delivery of pre-set automation KPI

KPI’s

Projects are executed within the budget and timeframe through the best practice and approach

Running senior management Steering Commette to get early guidance on the project development 4 time per year

Provide analytical reports based on demand 100%

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other operations related fields

5-10 years of Engineering and / or Warehousing experience preferably in consumer products

Flexible working style, can easily work with individuals from all backgrounds and cultures. Multi lingual a plus but not a necessity

Proven warehousing automation development and implementation experience including :

AS&RS automated storage and retrieval system

AGV automated guided vehicles

ATLS automated truck loading systems

Conveyors / pallet transfers etc

Ability to manage a highly dynamic workload.

Strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word required.

High degree of independence, autonomy, drive and results orientation.

Ability to travel within sector (up to 20% travel)

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, aggressive, results-oriented culture.

Communication skills to work with all levels of the organization from manufacturing employees to corporate executives strong English language skills.

Lean six sigma training is a plus

Subject matter expert in warehouse operations incluing the wide range of warehouse automation

Experience of managing large change project desirable.

Experience of leading a warehouse or distribution center
