ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Release Train Engineer to be part of our Software Engineering team based in Sant Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona, Spain).
Our organization participates in the development of digital products for Laboratories and Point of Care with the aim of leading digitalization of diagnostics and providing data & access to the rest of the customer areas.
Inside Lab Insights, we discover new digital ways to help address operational excellence and patient care, we design digital solutions for our customers, we develop a scalable platform and a digital ecosystem of applications and we deploy our digital offerings in a way that ensures a great user experience.
YOU WILL
Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train (ART).
Establish and communicate the Iteration and PI calendars.
Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning readiness, PI planning events, demos and periodic synchronization events.
Summarize and publish Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives, and program PI objectives into Solution PI Objectives.
Facilitate feature and capacity estimation by teams.
Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
Help manage risks and dependencies
Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects / Engineering
Work with stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
Ensure adherence to Guardrails
Drive relentless improvement, assess the agility level of the ART and help them improve
Guide the software team in navigating and applying the Design Control processes in order to be compliant with medical devices guidelines such as IEC 62304.
Be accountable for the software deliverables, escalate delays and issues and provide mitigation plans to address them.
Collaborate with multi location distributed teams (Between Switzerland & Spain)
REQUIREMENTS
The following list is what we are looking for. We understand you may not be fully proficient in all of them :
A Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field) is required.
At least 5 years of real-world experience in creating and maintaining software products.
Experience using SAFe framework, ideally as RTE.
Have been part of multi-team development projects.
Understanding of regulated environments, ideally Healthcare industry.
Knowledge in techniques like BDD and / or TDD.
Understanding of CI / CD processes and tools (Git, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Terraform, Ansible).
Acquainted with Agile development practices, especially Scrum.
Experience in the Clinical Laboratory and Healthcare domain.
Experience in the regulated medical device environment, following Design Control procedures will be a plus.
Communicate effectively in English and Spanish
