Purpose / Objective of the Job Drives the Strategy, communication and execution of the overall Training vision for the Spain and Portugal Markets.

Leads the diagnosis, design, development and delivery of learning solutions for the commercial field-force in Spain and Portugal Key Responsibilities Training Strategy and Business Partnering (40%) + Develops a compelling vision for the team and drives organizational buy-in to that vision + Understands the current and future drivers of field effectiveness as well as the external measures of successful sales approaches + Ensures collaboration with senior team leaders within Spain and Portugal, including Sales, Marketing and Medical Leads, to understand strategic brand and field needs and related learning needs + Partners with and influences senior team leaders to develop training strategies and plans, taking into consideration business priorities and resources + Aligns and communicates training plans and opportunities with broader business functions and maintains visibility of business challenges with potential to influence training planning Team Leadership and Performance (40%) + Leads the Trainers in Spain and Portugal + Leads and Implements the Overall Strategy for Sales Leadership Development within the Market + Drives the team to identify needs and learning gaps for all business units + Enables the team to design, develop and deliver the highest quality learning solutions for the field teams to drive salesforce performance and effectiveness + Continuously seeks to identify and leverage state-of-the-art adult learning methodologies that can accelerate skill and knowledge development of field teams + Promote continuous development, innovation, and best practice sharing across all training processes, systems and content + Enables the recruitment, continuous development, and retention of a high performing training team + Establishes and oversees the attainment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate training programs, trainer performance and effectiveness + Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to all direct reports including implementation of individual professional development plans Budget Monitoring and Operational Leadership (20%) + Monitors strict adherence to Medical, Regulatory, Legal (MRL) standards and guidelines, copyright laws, operational guidelines, and Code of Conduct across all activities of the learning team + Encourages cross-team collaboration and consistency in quality through sharing of best practices and learnings to facilitate excellence in training (Disclaimer : The responsibilities listed above are only a summary and other responsibilities will be requirements as assigned) Key Qualifications and Competences + BA / BS degree required + 10+ years of professional work experience in field learning development and execution + Prior experience as a Sales Manager (3 to 4 years) + Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, develop, motivate, mobilize, retain and lead a team + Strong strategic thinking skills to shape the future of learning for Field Leadership and salesforce + Experience in developing and executing learning strategy (Preferable) + Demonstrated ability to design, develop and support the implementation of training programs (Preferable) + Demonstrated ability to manage large operational budgets in a strategic and effective way + Demonstrated strength in facilitating discussions, presenting information and resolving issues + Strong ability to present to and influence senior leaders + Proven ability to facilitate career development and professional growth of a team + Ability to rally partners and direct reports around established critical decisions + Ability to prioritize business needs and make timely decisions based on available data + Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple matrix teams to achieve business objectives + Proactive and creative strategic thinking to identify and address current and future challenges + Fluent in English Bristol-Myers Squibb is an equal opportunity employer.
