Business Operations Specialist

We have an exciting and brand-new role as Business Operations Specialist for a one-year fixed term contract in Madrid. This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key the mapping and implementation of strategic initiatives that will enable processes and business operations in Takeda Iberia to be simpler, innovative, and faster.

As Business Operations Specialist, you will support the achievement of the company objectives by reviewing and optimizing all planning processes.

You will do this by proposing and implementing a clear and efficient improvement plan that will lead to the elimination of duplications for the following activities :

  • Territorial deployment plans
  • Account plans
  • Need Assessment (Legal, Compliance, Medical approvals)
  • Activity-based information for financial budgeting
  • Operationalization of activities in Smile vs. Need Assessment
  • Operationalization of activity management at Business Unit / Product level
  • Digitalize planning process for better risk control, security, efficiency, and potential integration with financial tools
  • Responsibilities :

  • Proactively engage business leaders across all functions to improve processes, minimize complexities and optimize effective operations
  • Create opportunities for synergies across the business ecosystem on topics such as developing business models, organizational design, and cross-functional initiatives to drive long term business sustainability
  • Gather and analyze data on internal business processes, formulate and test hypotheses including KPIs to assess processes, synthesize findings, develop go-forward plans and help drive and translate recommendations into results
  • Build consensus among cross-functional teams and influence decision making with leadership audiences
  • Pursue process optimization with cost reduction as driver for opportunities identification
  • Plan and inform on continuous process improvement initiatives by delivering reports to manage risks and issues and improve team communication and collaboration.
  • Education, Skills, & Experience

  • To qualify for this position, you will have a Bachelor / Master’s and will have graduated from your program in the last 3 years or 5 years if you have a disability
  • Minimum 1-2 years in a multinational company or related to internal or external consulting, having participated in 1-2 major corporate transformation initiatives from start to finish with key performance measurement
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish
  • Familiarity in Process design, Engineering and Business Transformation
  • Ability to work cross-functionally as well as interact and influence people at all levels of the organization
  • Able to work in an ambiguous environment
  • Strong diagnostic & problem solving, results oriented
  • Knowledge of Power Apps and Power BI could be preferred
  • Results Oriented as evidenced by a track record of driving complex programs and projects to from start to finish within budget and that routinely exceed the business process expectations and the financial return on investment targets of the business users
