As the Simpack Project Leader - System Modeling & Design Technologies , you will :
Lead the overall technical strategy and execution for the Simpack development to replace Flex5
Develop and implement a strategy to integrate Simpack into the production toolchain (in partnership with the production toolchain leader).
Resolve conflicts with interfacing teams.
Gather, prioritize, and actively manage all uses cases, ensuring that Simpack will meet the needs of the various users (e.
g., systems, loads, components, performance engineers)
Develop and execute plans for new features to improve the fidelity and usability of Simpack (beyond capabilities of Flex5)
Develop and execute validation and verification plans for Simpack
Oversee the strategy on the software architecture for Simpack (in direct partnership with the production toolchain leader to ensure seamless integration)
Mobilize the team to address field validation issues
Serve as the Product Owner in the scrum process
Maintain an overarching project plan, milestones, and risks (with the support of the scrum master)
Actively manage risks and conflicting priorities
Define and assign work packages for the team members
Develop specific plans to assist and accelerate Simpack adoption
Provide input for the strategic planning, people resourcing, and budgeting
Set expectations for documentation
Work in close partnership with the scrum master / project controls lead
Develop and implement a communication plan
Role Summary / Purpose
The vision of the System Modeling & Design Technologies team is to develop state-of-the-art capability in multibody simulation, system dynamics, system optimization, & design methods, enabling our customers to benefit from differentiated products, bankable quality, & speed to market.
As the Simpack Project leader, you will be responsible for leading the overall development and implementation of Simpack into our design processes and toolchain.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge / experience with significant years experience
OR Master's Degree or PhD or equivalent knowledge / experience with considerable experience in Mechanical, Wind, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering or computer science
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
EU Work Permit if hired in Spain

Demonstrated industrial experience in developing and implementing aero-servo-elastic multi-body dynamics simulation software into a design tool chain
Demonstrated experience leading large projects
Demonstrated experience with Simpack (preferred), Adams, HAWC2, or equivalent multi-body software
Considerable expertise in multi-body simulation modeling
Considerable wind turbine engineering experience
Experience in scientific computing for wind energy applications in languages such as Fortran, C, C++, etc.
Experience in wind turbine system dynamics
PhD or Master of Mechanical, Wind, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering or computer science
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills (both with leadership and within teams)
Strong oral and written communication skills, clarity of thought, and ability to defend a technical position
Demonstrated experience balancing technical excellence and business needs, finding solutions to meet near term business needs while maintaining long term technical imperatives
Experience working with AGILE software development approach
