Honeywell currently has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator who will be responsible for generating budgetary and firm cost estimates for Projects and / or Service Maintenance Agreements.
The candidate will work as a team player in assigned geography, generating cost estimates. They will act as a resource in support of the sale to address the customer’s technical and application requirements to ultimately provide an accurate cost of the solution.
This position will partner with Sales, Solution Advisors and Solution Design Engineers, vendors, customers, consulting engineers, contractors and delivery and support personnel to deliver estimates in a timely manner that are scoped and cost engineered correctly.
All estimates will be expected to be within accordance of Honeywell business objectives and strategies and ultimately deliver customer satisfaction.
Proposal strategies defined and executed in conjunction with the sales and operations teams to meet customers’ requirements.
Complete and accurate cost estimates that ensure the optimal balance between technical and commercial considerations within required timelines.
Usage of enterprise estimating tools and reporting mechanisms.
Full proposal and costing of : all Honeywell hardware, software and services, third party content, etc.
Clear communications with Sales, Operations, Sourcing and legal during proposal preparation.
Ensure all Honeywell proposals and sales project files are in accordance with Honeywell Standards and processes.
Thoroughly understands and follows company policies to minimize Honeywell’s exposure to risk and ethics violations.
Maintain high level of knowledge of the marketplace, technology and application trends.
Assist during TRR, ORR, CPQ & Proposal reviews.
Regular review and submission of revised estimates based on approved change request.
Look for opportunities to improve as-is process to increase efficiency, simplicity and margin.
Develop detailed Bill Of Materials
Risk analysis of BOQ if any
Ensure 100% compliance to set processes & achieve zero NC in all internal & external audits.
Supports sales professionals, bid managers and customers during the technical requirement definition and solution development sales process steps.
5 years in Sales Support / Estimation desired.
Bachelor’s / Master’s engineering degree
Technical knowledge of HVAC control, Security, CCTV and Fire Protection.
English upper intermediate, technical vocabulary.
Spanish language skills on a fluent level
Technically minded and an Integrative thinker can think out of the box to create alternative solutions inside and outside Honeywell scope of supply.
Open minded & Strong Team player.
Good communication skills.
