My Chemicals Client currently have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Administrator on a contract basis. Rates Negotiable.
This role will be home-based at first, then relocating to Spain after the first term of the contract.
Job Responsibilities : The Contract Administrator will be responsible and accountable for strategic contracts such as the Engineering and procurement contract, the early contractor Involvement contract and some external services mandates.
The Contract Administrator activities include the following :
Main point of contact with Contractor for all matters pertaining to the contract.
Responsible for promoting safety standards within the team and with Contractor.
Monitors vendor Engineering and procurement activities to ensure schedule is maintained and pro-actively manage any possible delays, in particular all the key milestones.
Ensures that the data for reporting is complete and accurate.
Issues Payment certifications and contributes to cash flow requirements for the specific contracts.
Coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure the deliverables are performed timely to avoid any delays to the schedule.
Assists the Project Manager with the verification of all Early Warnings, Requests for Variation and Variations.
Program monitoring (scope, cost and time) and progress meetings.
Administers Contracts in accordance with general requirements of contractual terms and conditions.
Ensure contract closeout.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Administration or equivalent based on the experience.
At least 10 years of experience working in the industrial, oil & gas, or chemical / petrochemical industry.
Experience in EPC(M) for industrial and oil & gas facilities.
Strong management experience with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong contract administration background, field experience and strong knowledge of time and material contract management.
Fluent in English; French will be considered as an asset.
Spanish is preferable but not essential.
Candidates must have the right to work in the EU on a contract basis.
