This is an opportunity to build a new team based in the Malaga Technology park. EIS has now established itself in Spain and is looking to grow a remote team.

Initially for the first weeks the team will work in the Malaga office but then moving to a remote role)

The Lead Developer in the Services organization is a critical role contributing to the design and development of the platform product across architecture tiers under the Engineering Delivery Management and Architects leadership.

Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop microservices and libraries according to system and business requirements
  • Design and develop front end components and libraries according to system and business requirements
  • Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure coherent implementation of features in both backend and frontend rule engines.
  • Support for existing framework users - both internal and external clients.
  • Actively participate during Scrum ceremonies : planning, backlog refinement, dailies, retrospective.
  • Work according to the best practices and standards and Agile culture.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture closely working with Architect roles
  • Contribute to team success during all phases of the software development life cycle, including architecture designs, requirements, usability.
  • Coach, support and lead other developers in the team or other stakeholders
  • Requirements / Experience :

  • 6+ years of hands on experience in software development working with relevant tech stack : Java11 and Spring framework or Java8 with multithreading and resource consumption optimization, different databases, NoSQL experience RESTful APIs and micro servicesDistributed systems architecture and microservicesKAFKA or other messaging solutionsSQL / NOSQL.
  • CICD tools (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Grafana, ELK or similar)Reactive / RxJava

  • Experience with front end development with preferable tech stack or similar : HTML5, CSS, LESS / Similar, Responsive design, and tools - bootstrap, CSS media queriesJavaScript (ES5 / ES6 / ES7), TypeScript, Node.
  • jsReact JS and React ecosystem, state managementRxJS or Cycle.js

  • Ability to take a business requirements / use case and produce maintainable feature
  • Experience contributing to back end and front end designs
  • Experience in algorithms and data structures, design patterns, and performance optimization is a plus
  • Experience with data validation, business rules, or building developer tooling is considered a plus
  • Working written and verbal English level
  • Experience in technical leadership, coaching, leading other developers in at least one implementation project end-to-end
  • Preferred experience in Insurance / Financial
  • Preferred experience in Scrum / Agile work environment
