Lonza Porriño is an integrated global contract manufacturing organization (CMO) offering a complete range of therapeutic protein manufacturing services.
We have the ability to provide these services in a fully scalable manner and at every stage of the development process. Our capabilities include technology transfer, analytical development and testing, scale up and cGMP manufacturing and support services.
Responsible for ensuring the equipment optimal performance in a GMP biotechnology plant, mainly by means of : - Increasing effectivity and efficiency of the preventive maintenance, proposing improvement actions and actively participating in their implementation and obtaining of results.
Key responsibilities : Work as maintenance front line leader supporting production equipment performance Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve facilities and equipment performance Carry out implementation activities for plant change control / modifications, capital projects and other identified plant improvement projects in line with defined specifications, budget and qualification of facilities in accordance with site to approved procedures Provide engineering assessment, engineering design, plant troubleshooting and equipment failure root cause analysis including improvement in facilities and new projects.
Solutions may include maintenance strategy modification, equipment modification, or asset replacement Provide support and guidance to Maintenance personnel, Engineers, Quality and Lonza global networks on electromechanical issues on cGMP and non-
cGMP equipment identified during design phase, installation, or normal operations. Transfer lessons learned, knowledge and best practices to global Lonza sites Develop sustainable programs, tools, and processes to improve plant operability and reliability, assess equipment failures and recommend appropriate corrective preventive actions.
Monitor and enforce compliance measures (including safety) within their specific discipline to ensure inspection readiness of plant Responsible for planning and implementing plant maintenance, managing of engineering resources during plant turnaround and prompt resolution of breakdowns To support the development of facility master plan to ensure compliance to engineering standards, management of obsolescence and asset replacement To support customer complaints and deviation investigations and ensure that all relevant engineering corrective actions are completed within the agreed timeline Maintain inspection readiness of the systems to ensure audit compliance with regulatory, safety and engineering standards Play a key role in all internal and external audits Perform other duties as assigned.
Key requirements : Bachelor of Science-Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Significant experience Spanish, Native Speaker English, Business Fluent Maintenance Technologies, Advanced SAP, Advanced Good understanding of local codes and requirements.
Good knowledge in Control systems both in maintenance and in plant commissioning. Familiar and understanding of Standard Engineering Practices (SEP).
