About You

Vifor Pharma a world leading Nephrology, Iron Deficiency and Cardio-Renal pharmaceutical company are experiencing rapid growth due to pipeline realization and optimization.

Due to loss of exclusivity (LOE) on a key asset for a period of 2 years we are seeking a motivated professional to maximize the local market access opportunities and tender management in Spain.

Main AccountabilitiesStrategy :

  • Facilitate strategy and key deliverables for cross functional LOE plan
  • Tender coordinator : Provide clear business cases for new landscape competitive opportunities post LOE
  • Lead and manage relationships and alignment with Global teams manage progress and input
  • Identify core access customers and develop clear advocacy messaging plan in the Access area
  • Tactics :

  • Continuous improvement and capability development e.g. gap analysis on knowledge, understanding and data or insight needs and plan to close
  • Work cross functionally to ensure that all planned activities are executed as aligned by the defined KPI’s
  • Ensures compliance with all internal and external industry regulatory and compliance regulations operating with a high degree of integrity in all aspects of their role
  • Key Measures of Success Lead indicators (predictors) :

  • Development of LOE scenarios, probabilities of success, impact, and LOE readiness
  • Coalition partner engagement
  • Supports the insights building and assumptions for forecast planning with Marketing and Commercial teams
  • Lag indicators (outcomes) :

  • Maintain competitive position in market post LOE
  • Effective execution of plan coordinated and actioned in collaboration with Marketing-Medical and commercial teams
  • Tasks (including but not limited to)

  • Business development :
  • Initializes and evaluates market research, market conditions, and competitor’s data, extracting and implementing country-specific access insights into the marketing plan
  • Identifies and leads the opportunities for Vifor to position brand value post LOE Identify and build mutual beneficial relationships with coalition partners.
  • Contributes to the identification of business threats and to the development of related contingency plans including the digital tools and platforms
  • Project Management :

  • Project manages entrepreneurial solutions to meet the business challenge, with full costings, scoping and probability of sale. Including tenders.
  • Assists Marketing in the development and implementation of local LOE tactics, incl. prioritizing appropriate targeting, positioning and messaging across all customer segments : bringing together with overall brand value proposition
  • Ensures key performance metrics are in place, tracking and reporting KPIs to enable adherence to and tracking of local budget
  • Network :

  • Creates sustainable, long-term relationships with thought leaders and professional societies
  • Works effectively with commercial team members, training them on strategy, materials and other product-related capabilities as well as providing support for local programs and initiatives
  • Manages external vendors / agencies and leads day-to-day operational projects
  • Collaborates cross-functionally and liaises with global / region to enrich the brand strategy and tactics and share standard methodologies and market best practices
  • Minimum RequirementsBachelor degree in Health Sciences or Economics

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the life sciences industry with relevant experience in access / commercial / marketing
  • Strong track record of strategic and operation planning for GP and / or Hospital lead products
  • Understanding of medical aspects of therapeutic area along with willingness to develop in-depth expertise
  • Knowledge of the local legal and regulatory landscape
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with key customers, such as KOLs and developing opinion leader programs
  • Professional level in English, both in oral and in written communications
  • Experience in tender management
  • Ability to travel at least 20-25%
  • Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years industry of experience in marketing, market access or commercial roles
  • Experience in LOE products management
