We’re searching for a Staff Engineer who will help the Observability group build the next generation of observability experiences.
This group owns New Relic's Full-Stack Observability product offering and its purpose is to help engineers to visualize, analyze, and optimize their entire software stack from one place.
The group consists of multiple teams who own both customer-facing UIs and a number of backend services. The teams work with a multitude of technologies including Kotlin, Java, Go, React JS, and Apache Kafka.
Staff Engineers at New Relic move around to different teams, helping them solve the toughest problems. We believe the best staff engineers also help build a strong culture of engineering excellence based on open source methodologies.
What You’ll Do
Your main responsibility is to accelerate and de-risk the outcomes that Full-Stack Observability as a whole, commit to delivering.
Secondary responsibilities include bootstrapping new teams or initiatives, bridging gaps between teams, and mentoring for up and coming high talent engineers.
