Reporting to the Global Sales Training Manager this Regional Sales Training Manager position will drive the design, development, and implementation of sales training programs to support the growth and strategic priorities of the business.
The Regional Sales Training Manager will be responsible for contributing to building individual, team, organisational and channel partner capabilities, and knowledge to meet current and strategic requirements.
They will help to develop a learning culture that enables capability development across the organisation.
The Regional Sales Training Manager will own assessment of regional, market, and functional training opportunities and drive development and administration of training programs that continuously improve SCIEX’s sales effectiveness.
This position will manage multiple projects concurrently including the development of technical and sales training and their implementation via regional training events.
The Regional Sales Training Manager will work cross functionally with sales, business unit, and marketing teams to create product and solution focused trainings, set delivery milestones, and establish and track KPIs to measure effectiveness of our sales training efforts regionally.
This individual will be responsible for the following :
Have an active role in designing and deploying training / workshop events in Sales Kickoff meetings to ensure consistency of messaging and learning
Lead the development of the internal training vision in partnership with the regional / global business units as well as regional facilities by collaborating with The product management team to develop a deep understanding of our products and processes and how they meet the market need.
The marketing team to support the development of marketing products that fuel internal and external sales training
Work directly with Sales Management and other stakeholders to continually evaluate and anticipate training needs
Leverage data to derive insights about training needs and to track training progress
Identify and prioritize associates that require training including members of our sales, marketing, and support teams.
Design and development of a training curriculum including modules, sessions, materials, and assessments that build sales force knowledge and skills to maximize sales effectiveness
Track key performance indicators on impact of sales training to our regional / global sales effectiveness.
Determine, consult on, and implement effective training methods (classroom, workshop, webinar, self-study module, e-learning module, hard copy materials).
Manage the training and learning strategy across all areas of the regional business and work closely with the Global Sales Training team to align training methods and contents.
Maintain all training records and keep the Learning Management System up to date.
Enable informal learning methods to support adoption and embed skills transfer such as inductions, mentoring, scenario-based learning, and ongoing task activities
Promote a continuous improvement and development environment and ensure all current legislation and best practices are reflected accordingly
The Regional Sales Training Manager will require periodic travel to deliver training to SCIEX facilities, on average of 8 10 weeks per year.
Bachelor’s degree in a Science based subject
A minimum of four years of sales experience within a pharmaceutical, medical device or life science / diagnostic organization.
Formal sales training qualifications such as SPIN are strongly preferred.
Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams, subject matter experts, and the business unit team to take ideas from concept through implementation.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to multiple, changing priorities and complete within a timely manner.
Hands-on knowledge of and experience designing and developing interactive, engaging, instructional materials.
Strong business acumen.
Good understanding of Separations and MS technologies
Classroom training experience in front of diverse audiences (tech, sales, marketing .)
