The Performance review cycle is one of the most stressful processes for People Managers and Employees alike, but it doesn’t have to be.
Our goal is to make this as transparent, fair and painless as possible. We are building the tools that help managers foster the right conversations, engage and grow employees in their careers and provide insights to organizations that help them unlock their people potential.
We are at the beginning of our journey and need help laying the foundation of Performance Management to become a directly revenue contributing product and drive towards Personio's mission to Enable Better Organizations.
You will take part in our efforts to e.g.
As a Senior Engineer, you will support the transition from a monolithic application to a distributed system, meaning you will participate in the definition of domain boundaries, designing communication patterns, and ensuring the resiliency of the system.
You will work in an effective, autonomous team, where you will get to play out your engineering skills in a high-impact driven environment.
Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the full cycle of feature development in the Employee Performance and Development team ("You build it, you run it").

What you need to succeed
5+ years of software development experience on the JVM ( e.g. Java, Kotlin) or .NET frameworkTrack record of working in an agile setup using continuous deployment and deliveryExperience with event-driven architectures, domain-driven design and messaging design patternsKnowledge about resilience patternsExperience with containerization and container orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes preferred) in a cloud environment (AWS preferred) Strong skills driving engineering coaching within pair programming or learning sessions, board explanations and feedback sessions to increase creativity and innovation among team membersMultiple years of experience in interviewing and technically assessing engineering talent Strong written and spoken English (level C1 on the CEFR scale)
