Your roleAs aSenior Graphic Designer for the Data Lab your main responsibilities willinvolve : Data visualizationConceptualizing the design of businessinsight dashboards, applications and other data-driven solutions.
Delivering mockups for clients and the developmentteam in a range of fidelity levels : from quick sketches to convey high levelconcepts, to detailed wireframes.
Applying your expertise to the UX / UI of solutionsfor BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Microstrategy and Qlik).Exploring, reviewing andfollowing company and industry trends in data visualization techniques.
Graphics,facilitation, communicationCo-creating with colleagues andbusiness stakeholders using Design Thinking methodology to ensure theuser-centricity of data-driven business solutions.
Facilitating design workshops : managing keystakeholders, end-users and your wider team to begin the first step of turningdata into insights.
Solving problems creatively and working withbusiness stakeholders to create meaningful and visually attractive solutions.
Creating engaging, attractive, informative Executivesummary decks that clearly communicate the storytelling behind a solution.
Presenting on design anddata-visualization topics in-front of customers, colleagues and Executives.Your Skills and Experience As a SeniorGraphic Designer for the Data Lab your skills and qualifications will ideallyinclude : Youshould have : Formaltraining in Graphic Design.
Universitydegree in Design-related subject. Experience / knowledge in User Experience design.Highly skilledin Graphic Design and Wireframing tools (for example Adobe Creative Suite,InVision, Sketch) Understandingof Design Thinking methodology and other co-creation, ideation, design facilitationtechniques.
Aninterest in Data Analytics (finding insights from data, visual storytelling,optimizing the presentation of data).Basicknowledge of data and visualization / prototyping tools (e.
g. Power BI,Microstrategy, Qlik). Youshould be : Proactive,energized, flexible work collaboratively in a high-performance team but alsothink and deliver concepts independently.

The Zurich Data Visualization Lab and beyond The Zurich Data Lab & Visualization team is where data, design anddecisions come together.
We work closely with business users to create visualand analytic solutions. We’re building a team of passionate and creative storytellers who also have a solid grounding in business objectives and datadisciplines.
Our team sits within the wider Enterprise, Data, Analytics andArchitecture group (EDAA). This means that, although you will join our DataLab, your role will positively affect and enhance a far wider team.
In yourrole you will be an integral part of the complete Solution Design Process, fromthe rapid creation of prototypes within the Data Lab, to supporting the enddelivery by EDAA.
As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will use your expertise in working withvisualization tools, design methodologies and analytics to deliver data-drivensolutions for business stakeholders.
You’ll be involved in very interesting usecases, answering challenging questions for Zurich’s senior Executives acrossthe globe.
