The Vehicle Development department in Idiada, Spain are looking to recruit an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, to join the McLaren Automotive Development team.
Despite being a small team, they have a huge passion for what they do, demonstrated by their hard work, they enjoy the challenge of meeting tight deadlines and ensuring cars are fully prepared and ready for test activities.

this is our ambition to produce 15 new vehicles and derivatives of, until the year 2022.
As an Electrical Systems and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for instrumentation, measuring and testing activities on pre-
productions vehicles, ensuring engineering concepts are correct and that the vehicles are fit for purpose. Your work and tasks will vary greatly, from vehicle and rig testing to supporting instrumentation and data analysis.
You will also work on multiple projects across McLaren vehicles.
You should be able to travel to support offsite test activities; travel will be worldwide and can be several times a year for up to two weeks at a time.

Skills and Experience Required :
Previous experience within a similar environment / test background is essential.
knowledge of sensor technology, data acquisition systems and data analysis.
Experience of CAN
Work with a high degree of confidence in your ability, in order to make decisions.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, good communication at all levels and to customer groups.
Hands on approach to your work.
Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
