Use process and product data to help bring insights on, automate, and optimize steel design and manufacturing.
Design, develop, and deploy data-driven predictive and / or prescriptive models across the steel manufacturing process.
Exploring cutting-edge technologies associated to data-driven modelling and artificial intelligence to deal with complex problems that cannot be solved with out-of-the-box tools.
Building quick prototypes to prove the value for ArcelorMittal Group. Integration in pilot plants and reference for other researchers in specific fields.
Applying probabilisitc modelling / analytic techniques on real-life, challenging datasets stored in (big) data ecosystems.
The job is located in Global R&D Asturias and is linked to the activities done in New Frontier (Digital Factory Cell )

Minimum Applicant Attribute
Education / Qualification : Master
Subject : Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science Language and Proficiency Level : English Advanced
Other Minimum Requirements :
Knowledge of probabilistic models and learning, and experience in their application to industrial fields.
Knowledge of optimization / prescriptive analytics methods.
Programming Languages : Python and / or R; scientific computing stack.
