About the role
Winning at the point of purchase with customers is fundamental to brand and business growth as retailers determine how our categories and brands are present to consumers and shoppers.
Shoppers increasingly buy from a repertoire of brands and the vast majority of decision making is made at the point of purchase hence our ability to influence the point of purchase is fundamental to business growth.
The Category Strategy team will play a leading role in delivering the Adult Drink Category vision through the 9 activation plays which will define how we go to market with our customers and create a triple win for Diageo, shoppers and customers through our category, brand, innovation and portfolio marketing plans.
This team will partner with Revenue Growth Planning Shopper marketing and Customer Activation leads to develop the one commercial plan and ensure the entire commercial and category development teams are fully equipped with comprehensive selling tools , from long term category vision into sub category strategy and brand, channel and customer specific growth drivers.
utilising advanced category management skills to advise customers how to maximise their revenue, margin, operational efficiency and shopper satisfaction .
This team will establish Diageo as the must trusted and respected supplier in Spain & Portugal, recognised for their collaborative win : win approach and outstanding understanding of category, customer and shopper behaviour.
