about the company
Our client is a software platform democratizing access to Private 5G networks for enterprises and industries worldwide. It started as a spin-off from one of the leading telco and digital R&D labs in the EU and has been developed over the past 5-6 years.
In July 2020 the spin-off was formally incorporated, and after 2 rounds of financing, the team is expanding their Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform across the world.
A Private Network is essentially a small-scale telco network deployed entirely or partially on-premise. With Private Networks companies can deploy and manage their own 5G networks with higher reliability, more data privacy, and enhanced cybersecurity.
The Private 5G Network segment is one of the fastest-growing within the telco industry as companies are looking to get an early competitive advantage in their digital transformation / Industry 4.
0 journey by future-proofing their wireless networks. The market is expected to reach $200bn worldwide growing at a 21% CAGR until 2025.
Their platform allows any type of network operator to serve their customers at a lower cost and more flexibility as compared to the solutions offered by the traditional incumbents (i.
e. Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei). They achieve this through a combination of virtualization, open-source architecture, multi-vendor support, and open APIs, following a disruptive platform / marketplace approach.
