Indirect Procurement Specialist
The position reports to the Regional Lead Indirect Sourcing.
Primary Responsibilities & Role :
Sourcing indirect materials and services requirements for the EMEA Region and participating in the development and execution of global procurement strategy.
Indirect sourcing requires a unique blend of analysis, stakeholder management, and process development along with traditional sourcing and transactional processes.
While specific accountabilities may be defined the role is very dynamic and projects / priorities may adjust over time while maintaining the goal of creating optimal sourcing conditions for Solenis.

Responsible for procurement of a range of materials and services used by the Solenis production plants and organizations.
Run sourcing events to further identify and develop corporate programs across EMEA . Identify preferred supplier network and achieve supplier consolidation.
Manage and independently develop sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings and cash flow targets in allocated spend categories (please see supplement of illustrative categories).
Become subject matter expert of assigned indirect spend categories, negotiate contracts and purchases of indirect materials and services to ensure best conditions for Solenis.
Support the Regional Lead Indirect Sourcing in other indirect categories in his absence or also on consolidation of vendor initiatives.
Day-to-day issue handling or as necessary.
Coordinate sourcing initiatives with global team to share best practices and align on multinational supplier sourcing strategies.
Examine and analyse RFQ offers for benchmarking and competitiveness for best services and pricing.
Secure bids on requisitions or processes them for purchase, prepares bid invitations and recommends approval of bids.
Develop, control and improve supplier relationships and internal stakeholders .
Manage communication between suppliers and internal departments.
Develop supplier qualifications for key materials / services to drive cost savings projects.
Identify new suppliers to expand supply base.
Provide procurement updates to internal customers.
Ensuring compliance with safety and responsible care
Track results and succinctly communicate work progress during on-line meetings at critical milestones and / or regularly scheduled intervals.
Suitable degree in applicable field of work.
Knowledge of Indirect materials, services and products.
Knowledge of purchasing practices, procedures and strategies.
Ability to work effectively in a geographically distributed organisation.
Minimum of 3-5 years procurement experience.
Fluent in written and spoken English and preferred one or more other European languages.
Strong negotiation skills.
Excellent organization capabilities and project management
Data analysis skills - Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel , PowerPoint and higher-level functions such as Pivot tables, V-Lookup, formulas
Knowledge of SAP preferred.
Ability to identify, understand and provide prioritization of actions to all elements of the organization.
Hands on and problem-solving mentality.
Ability to work in a matrix environment.
