MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Planning to manage and review medium-term and short-term plans for Spain - that includes : Annual Budgets, Monthly Forecasts, Strategic Plans.
  • Performing, on a timely basis, the reporting and analysis as requested by the McCormick Group or the Iberian Management team, including commentaries on variances, sales, profit and Op bridges, R&O’s.
  • Provide sound and timely decision support to the McCormick Managers at different ad-hoc levels when needed (customer and product profitability, new business opportunities, pricing, trade terms)
  • Investment Appraisal to evaluate key investment opportunities or programmes to assess the financial and commercial profitability and to make recommendations to senior management on resulting findings.
  • To ensure an adequate level of sensitive and risk analysis is completed prior to making any recommendations. Areas covered include : Marketing expenditure proposals, Customer Terms negotiations.
  • Liaise with Rebates Area, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Customer Services and general Accounting
  • On-going Business Support. To provide the business with financial analysis or evaluation in the following areas : NPD -
  • to ensure all proposals are fully justified and in line with business unit strategies Support on pricing price increases and trade terms Weekly / Monthly results and analysis : P&L by customer, Product profitability, variances vs FC’s and budgets SG&A analysis and recommend actions to get cost savings

  • Ensure accurate Sales Administration information : Sales, Pricing, Customer Trade Terms.
  • Responsible for the contracts with external vendors
  • Ensure effective finance control environment SOX compliance
  • CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance areas
  • 5 years of experience in finance-focused roles
  • Result - oriented to achieve targeted metrics
  • Must be able to establish personal credibility with Commercial Team to ensure they impact on decision making
  • Strong analytical and project skills
  • Strategic and tactical ability
  • Good understanding of control mechanisms
  • Good communication skills
  • Broad understanding of how other functions operate and the needs of commercial units
  • Must be able to achieve results within a team
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Advanced level of Excel, previous SAP and TM1 experience
