We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Integration and Interoperability Manager to join our Medicine Management Solutions Business managing all aspects of IV infusion device connectivity, integration and interoperability as well as form alliances and partnership with EMR and PDMS companies.

You will primarily support connectivity, integration and interoperability development efforts for our international infusion platform, but will also be highly involved in other IV pump platforms.

This role will be strongly involved in supporting the global medical device connectivity, integration and interoperability strategy with a focus on end-to-end patient safety.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can own relationship management and engagement with our EMR / PDMS global partners. The successful applicant will have the following key responsibilities :

  • Help to define BD’s infusion Integration and Interoperability Strategy
  • Support the deployment and validation of BD infusion solutions in Extended Development Environment testing (XDE), Limited Commercial Release (LCR) and / or Controlled Commercial Release (CCR)
  • Lead application for BD infusion compliance with international device integration and interoperability standards, IHE, Wi-Fi Alliance and other cyber security standards
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking, defining technology gaps in achieving best-in-class connectivity, integration and Interoperability
  • You will work within a core team on the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements and execute to a successful commercial launch.

    You will provide technical input to the development and maintenance of training programs and documentation for supported products and drives regional self-sufficiency

    To be successful in this role you will have the following experience :

  • Experience with hardware and software systems, connectivity, integration and interoperability preferably with medical devices or complex medical instrumentation in a Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) role
  • Previous experience preferred in electronic patient records systems in High Acuity Healthcare environment including ICU, NICU, PICU, Operating Room, Oncology & Day Case, Outpatient and Major Trauma
  • Previous experience in Hospital workflow and business process context in which IV Infusion devices are used by customers
  • Previous experience in medical devices connectivity and integration, medical technologies, Middleware development for devices.
  • Strong health care IT experience, with technical development system architecture and interface protocols,
  • Previous experience in a Hospital setting supporting Instrumentation and Laboratory Information Systems.
  • This role will suit a results-orientated person who is able to work both independently and within a team environment. You must be prepared to travel up to 40$ of the time.
