Advertising Product Management, Privacy and Governance
Summary of the role
The role of the Advertising Product Management, Privacy and Governance, is to work to ensure our products are designed to comply with the relevant worldwide privacy laws and to maintain customer trust, treating their data respectfully, with transparency, and in line with reasonable practices.
The Advertising Product Management, Privacy and Governance, will work cross-functionally with product strategy teams, product development team, R&D, legal and partners and will drive our response to industry and regulatory changes.
They will be responsible to drive privacy governance across the Media Business Unit, implementing corporate privacy rules and ensure privacy awareness.
Your main responsibilities
1. Product Strategy
Maintain an understanding of industry changes in privacy and global regulations.
Ensure our products are designed to comply with the relevant worldwide privacy laws and to maintain customer trust.
Ensure goal alignment across different product and stakeholder teams, which may include customers, internal teams, external groups (including industry bodies and regulators) and partners.
Drive innovative solutions to challenging advertising problems with a well-reasoned and privacy-obsessed vision.
Contribute to product / business strategy, public policy, and legal initiatives to address / mitigate privacy risks.
2. Product Execution
Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to ensure they understand the privacy requirements and that data collection / usage practices are transparent and protect user privacy.
Conduct technical and policy reviews to identify and escalate potential privacy concerns.
Propose proactive development of new privacy features and tools.
Drive Initial Privacy Assessments (IPAs) on key initiatives and products, ensuring privacy by design processes are being followed and current controls and policies are implemented.
3. Privacy Risks and Governance
Ensure that the Amadeus Corporate Privacy Strategy, Policies, Standards, Guidelines and Processes are communicated and applied within the Media Business Unit, including oversight of the Local Privacy Coordinators’ activities within legal entities.
Drive Privacy governance within the organization, ensure privacy awareness, measure privacy maturity and its evolution within the organisation.
Act as an entry point for any audit activities (internal or external audit).
Report to and participate in the Amadeus Privacy Committee.
Respond to privacy incidents and emerging privacy risks, including collecting information on scope and root cause as well as managing remediation.
Consult with the DPO and broader Privacy team for Legal and technical privacy advice.
Ensure the list of processing activities / assets and vendors owners in their scope is up-to-date and launch periodic review process.
About the ideal candidate
Holds a Bachelor degree or above in business, informatics or equivalent (Law degree is not necessary)
Has at least 3-4 year of relevant experience in digital advertising in Product or tech roles.
Has experience working with legal teams
Good knowledge in GDPR
Possesses structured mindset
Is proficient in English
