The Nanophotonics Theory Group at ICFO in Barcelona (Spain) is offering a PhD position to a well-qualified, highly motivated, and dynamic young scientist who wishes to pursue a PhD in a friendly and stimulating environment within the field of nanophotonics, specifically on a project with a strong experimental profile, as well as acquisition of simulation and theoretical techniques.
The successful candidate will be joining the Nanophotonics Theory Group led by Prof. Javier García de Abajo and will be closely supervised by Dr.
Vahagn Mkhitaryan. The candidate will be trained in multiple experimental techniques and pursue high-profile research related to the fabrication, characterization, and application of atomically thin crystalline metal films with extraordinary optical properties, strongly supported by Dr.
Vahagn Mkhitaryan and experimental training activities at ICFO. Additionally, the candidate will be trained in simulation and theoretical simulation techniques.
