Role Description / Purpose

The Oath Open Demand team is looking for a highly-motivated Open Demand Buyer Development Partner to manage relationships with Programmatic Channel Partners (Agency Trading Desks, Ad Networks, Direct clients with DSP seats via programmatic demand) across Spain and EMEA.

The Open Demand team are at the forefront of the programmatic industry, helping Oath to solidify its position as a technology provider that powers the buying and selling of digital advertising.

This role will actively contribute to the industry’s exciting and ongoing evolution towards programmatic buying solutions that offer scalable, efficient, and highly targeted means of reaching desired audiences and achieving better ROI.

The Buyer Development Partner plays a key role in the Oath Ad Platforms team, responsible for generating revenue from either a specific set of customers and / or territories assigned.

You will be responsible for the exchange revenues across Oath platforms mainly from specific buyer accounts. Primarily directly servicing programmatic buying customers and coordinating ad exchange selling efforts with other internal teams including the client direct and Agency account groups teams.

Team / Dept. Mission

Maximise Revenue and yield for owned and operated, and 3rd party publishers utilising Oath Publisher platforms programmatically.

Enable Oath to be the monetization partner of choice for publishers across Display, Mobile and Video.

Key Accountabilities

  • Generate revenue towards a defined quota established for a specific set of customers / products / Markets or combination thereof.
  • Grow revenue from agency trading desks, independent trading desks, networks and direct advertisers on Oath exchangesMaintain high customer satisfaction with Channel Partners, end customers, and other intermediariesUse data and analytics and convert them into actionable insights.

    Cultivate strong relationships while serving as the face of Oath Publisher platforms with each agency’s trading desk / networkCollaborate with account teams to drive business for direct customers via the exchange

  • Drive Account planning and revenue generation from identified partners in each territory
  • Engage at Senior level with major identified customers, and support local team in programmatic conversations.
  • Be the Programmatic ExpertBe the subject matter expert on all things relating to Oath Publisher platforms across Display, Video and Mobile for 3P demand, programmatic buying, and the evolution of the business in that directionProvide critical customer and market feedback to our product, monetization and management teams to ensure we remain as relevant and competitive as possible, missing no opportunities.
  • Partner with Oath Demand Platform Sales to identify right engagement opportunities, to ensure revenue is maximized via Oath Demand tools and engage with Partners when 3rd Party demand tools are being used.

  • Participate in a high-performing account teamDrive adoption of PMP partnership opportunitiesProvide direction and feedback to the Oath Publisher team on how to identify solutions, manage client expectations, and develop new businessUse data to proactively share insights into the customer segment to inform policies, manage channel conflict, and exploit revenue opportunitiesWhere appropriate, work with the marketing team to develop and assist in events for customers
  • Provide thought leadership within the industry as it relates to ad exchanges ad programmatic buyingBe curios of articles on Industry publications, be able to intercept, understand and share internally relevant topics with internal stakeholdersAttend and participate at conferences, seminars, and industry eventsDevelop relationships with third party companies including data providers, data exchanges, ad verification companies, and supply side platforms that catalyze our exchange business with agencies and direct advertisers

  • Grow new business on new accounts that approach programmatic media (ITDs and Advertisers)

  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    Essential Experience

  • A deep understanding of the online advertising display space with a focus on exchange and audience-based selling, the tools and technology that enable it, as well as the various intermediaries that sit in between Advertisers and Publishers
  • Ability to use data and other resources to generate actionable insights for customers.
  • Sales and Account Management experience with a solid background in display advertising sales, preferably with 3 years in the Internet Media Industry
  • Experience with partner / channel management, business development and negotiations with agency teams such as trader / planners / account directors and willing to increase relationships to deal with C-Level people
  • Experience with direct advertiser sales, including negotiations and management of strategic partnerships at senior levels within the marketing division and agency
  • Technical / Functional Skills

  • Experience with xls., pivot tables and ppt. a must
  • Experience with data interpretation as it relates to programmatic buying preferred
  • Personal Attributes / Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills at all levels of an organization.
  • Analytically minded
  • A general curiosity and an ability to troubleshoot issues using a variety of resources.
  • Qualifications

  • Online advertising experience a must
  • Experience and understanding of programmatic media sales
  • Strong ability to use data to drive insights and generate buying opportunities
  • Understand competitive strengths and weaknesses
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to develop strong working relationships across multiple organizational functions
  • Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent written communication skills, specifically in synthesizing strategy and technical information into a succinct summary
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Proven track record of working with, meeting & exceeding revenue and productivity quotas
