Analog Devices, Inc. is looking for a Product Test Engineer to join our Health Care Group in Wilmington, MA or Valencia, Spain .

The growth and demand for health monitoring has and will continue to grow exponentially. ADI is well positioned to leverage its core sensor and signal processing technology to take advantage of this growth.

We are looking for an energetic experienced Systems Applications Engineer who can support the products being developed at ADI that address the physiological challenges being presented by the healthcare market.

As a Systems Application Engineer, this individual will bring an understanding of the market and customer needs support the development of ADI healthcare systems from definition to evaluation to customer support.

The engineer will be responsible for technical support including the generation of hardware / firmware, technical reports, and applications notes.

The role requires interfacing with sales, marketing, and the engineering development team.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in debugging all aspects of mixed-signal hardware / firmware and in designing and testing optical (pulse oximetry, etc.

biopotential (ECG, EMG, EEG), and bioimpedance (EDA, thoracic impedance, ICG, etc.) sensing systems and applications. A strong knowledge of systems physiology is a plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Work on defining and developing new Analog Front Ends and systems for the Vital Sign Monitoring market
  • Understand market needs and trends and translate product requirements into clear technical specifications
  • Will support ADI products by creating datasheet, collateral material, application notes, evaluation boards, basic firmware drivers and code examples, graphical user interface, etc.
  • and other tools which may enhance customer engagement

  • Will engage with customers (by email, phone or in customer visits) to understand their challenges and position suitable ADI parts in their system
  • Will support customers and internal Technology Groups replicating test setups and making lab measurements to validate that the proposed ADI s solutions are suitable for the application and optimize them, if needed.
  • Will complement marketing resources and initiatives with deeper technical insight
  • Will support tradeshows and exhibitions
  • Travel 10%
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • BS or MS degree in EE or ECE or equivalent relevant experience. Typically requires minimum of 2 years related and progressive experience.
  • Must have mixed-signal circuit design experience (PCB) and hardware debug skills including instrumentation and lab measurements.
  • Must have experience in firmware development and debug.
  • Must have knowledge on Vital Sign Monitoring Applications (ECG, EEG, EMG, PPG, SpO2, bio-impedance, etc.) and a motivation for the improvement of current state-of-the-art solutions
  • Experience with medical products, biomedical engineering and system design practices is a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel worldwide (10-20% of the time)
  • Additional Skills, Knowledge & Abilities :

  • Must be a team player capable of working in multidisciplinary multicultural teams located worldwide
  • Self-motivated, thorough, autonomous, and driven to continually improve
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and generate technical reports and applications notes.
  • Education Level : Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree

    Travel Required : 10%
