Senior Manager, Software Engineering

What You’ll Do
Lead two closely-related teams of software engineers building open source software that our customers delight in using to monitor their cloud and on-premises infrastructure
Attract, grow, and retain software engineers through regular mentoring, career path conversations, and assigning projects tailored to skill level and interests
Ensure the success of software projects through the planning and execution phases within and across teams
Partner closely with product management, fellow engineering managers, and key decision-makers to set up team priorities and roadmap
Develop and iterate on agile processes and practices that keep your teams focused and executing efficiently
5+ years of experience leading high-performing engineering teams, with some experience leading two or more teams at a time
Consistent track record of delivering high-quality software in regular, iterative releases
Experience running high-complexity projects with cross-team dependencies
Ability to collaborate within your own department and across others
Experience mentoring and coaching team members
Fluency with spoken and written English
Experience with a wide array of modern software components, an understanding of infrastructure monitoring + agents, and the Go programming language
Experience leading teams which contribute to open source projects
