Sales Specialist, Enterprise

For our outstanding team in Madrid, Spain, we are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on and experienced salesperson who will understand merchant’s needs and will sell Adyen’s payment solutions to large Spanish companies, with a focus on e-commerce and unified commerce merchants.

The ideal candidate is an outstanding networker who enjoys selling every day and who thrives in a fast-paced, diverse and entrepreneurial environment.

What you’ll do

  • Identify and approach prospective customers, then negotiate and close deals;
  • Sell Adyen payment solutions to large companies usually with base in Spain and Portugal, generating new business in various verticals, in e-commerce and point of sale;
  • Build a trustful relation with your merchants; lead meetings, close deals, carry out contractual and go live work;
  • Collaborate and work with individuals and teams across the organization -particularly with other Sales Managers, Underwriting, Sales Support, Implementation and Account Management teams- to ensure the best possible merchant experience and to develop with your colleagues professionally;
  • Work in a young entrepreneurial environment and the forefront of the payments market.
  • Who you are

  • You are a passionate sales person with strong commercial drive and attitude, a strategic negotiator and have a pressing appetite for deals;
  • With a substantial sales experience (ideally 8 to 12 years) selling complex enterprise software, solutions, or financial services, ideally premium product / services.
  • Experience and contacts in retail and of hospitality verticals are a good plus;
  • A team player who enjoys working with a global team, across different offices, roles and cultures, and has a willingness to travel;
  • You have the ability to define and execute, manage time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment with limited supervision;
  • You are fluid and convincing in Spanish and in English, both oral and written. Portuguese particularly and other European languages are a plus.
