Decisioning Sales Specialist
The Sales Specialist will be responsible for selling Decisioning solutions and services to prospective and current customers.
The Specialist will provide in-depth domain expertise to generate new leads, progress opportunities and close deals within the assigned territory.
Primary Responsibilities :
Sells SAS Decisioning software solutions and services to current and prospective customers
Assume full responsibility from generating leads to closing deals within assigned territory.
Integrates strategy into overall account plan.
Initiates and supports lead generation activities. Qualifies leads by analyzing business drivers, technical fit and customer conversations.
Develops opportunities by managing and influencing requirements to gain competitive edge.
Creates and presents sales proposals, systems and services for Decisioning solutions to successfully communicate the value of the solution in addressing a customer challenge.
Demonstrates the proposed Solutions and leverages pre-sales engineering resources as needed.
Collaborates with designated partners / alliances where applicable.
Communicates with other departments to create and finalize contracts
May assist Product Marketing, Product Management and / or Research and Development by providing information for future product direction.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Sciences or other relevant discipline
Experience within sales, pre-sales or industry domain with a proven track record of success.
Background in selling or delivering Automated Decisioning and Decision Engine solutions and services. This should include a deep knowledge of at least one, and ideally two, of the following topics : Customer or CRM Decisioning, Fraud Decisioning, Credit Risk Decisioning.
This will include : Experience of understanding existing decision flow processes and proposing new ones.Experience in both fast’ and slow’ decision processesAbility to articulate and explain the pros and cons of a variety of decision cultures.
An understanding of the role advanced analytics and AI plays in an intelligent decisioning solution.
Strong knowledge of domain industry including, but not limited to; Customer Intelligence and / or Credit Risk Management and / or Fraud Management.
Knowledge and experience of working across a braid range of industries, including, but not limited to; Banking, Insurance, Retail, Telecommunications, Media and Utilities.
Some knowledge of other Decisioning solutions, including but not limited to; Triad, SMG3 and Falcon.
Knowledge of basic sales techniques and experience working in a customer facing role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel as required.
