Scalable Structured Micro Illumination Light Engines

We offer two positions for experienced mixed-signal VLSI design engineers. The core idea of this project is to produce the first micro-illumination light engines based on GaN LED for a plethora of applications, including microscopy, optogenetics, high-throughput fluorescence analysis, DNA chip fabrication, etc.
The micro-illumination device will consist on a hybrid integration of one GaN chip with the array of LEDs and one Si CMOS chips with the electronics required for the LED driving and interface with the outside.
The designer will be dedicated to the analog and digital design of the circuits required and to the interface with the foundry and project partners.
Experience is required managing all the EDA tools of Cadence, including schematics, simulation, layout and verification.
Because this is a FET Proactive project, the design has to be ready during the 1,5 initial years of the project.
