The Role Purpose :
Contribute to and be part of the Group HS&E department, with specific focus on the day to day operations of HSE in Spain, and with links into wider European and Global geographies :
ups, ) and to provide customer support to the SSC Barcelona staff
The Key Accountabilities :
Support Colt’s Health and Safety Governance model and ensure the country is progressing towards ISO 45001 : 2018 alignment and retain ISO 14001 : 2015
Support the H&S administrative tasks of the Internal Prevention Service
Provide day to day health and safety advisory support to staff within that country regardless of business area.
Support the risk assessments procedures conducted by the Internal Prevention Service.
Contribute to the formulation of global and local HS&E procedures.
Ensure up to date HS&E documents in conjunction with local country legislation.
Ensure records of work carried out are maintained accurately and on time.
Support the Emergency Preparedness activities (emergency plans are kept up to date and tested periodically, emergency teams are defined, updated and trained, informative documents are up to date )
Manage and implement monitoring inspections / inspection programmes
Undertake formal legal impact assessments for countries of support, extending remit where requested to other countries of operation
Contribute to the HSE communication / culture change programme and web portal content
Work closely with the HSE Advisors to deliver against Group and local HSE goals.
Occasional opportunities for travel.
What you will need to succeed :
A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an Environmental position or as intermediate level H&S technician in an external prevention service (SPA) or an internal prevention service (SPP)
Trainer experience is recommended
Experience within a multi-site business operating a matrix management structure. Experience of Europe is preferable but not essential.
Experience dealing with people from multiple geographies, with differing cultures and management styles is preferable
Comfortable talking to different groups from different cultures and backgrounds, interacting with local authorities, new comers, visitors etc..
