  • Job factsSummary : This is an exciting opportunity to join our Global Client Computing team and be based in Madrid, Spain.
  • In this role, you will be the Component Owner for components in client computing used by 100'000+ users here at Roche. You will be accountable for the service delivery, including vendor management, operational performance, support, tactical lifecycle management, analytics and continuous improvement for the component(s).

    Example components : Client Hardware Standards, Windows Client OS, Mac clients, Chrome Browser, Productivity Software and Applications used to managed these components.

The Position · Focused on managing operational performance, maintaining working relationships with stakeholders across Partner IT areas and support functions to understand unmet needs and issues.

  • Define, implement, maintain, enforce and own the core client computing components. · Includes executing change management processes and is overall responsible for implementing and ensuring the appropriate solutions are implemented as part of the system lifecycle, to address stakeholder requirements.
  • Set priorities for engineering activities related to your components. · Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategy, policy, standards, directives, processes, and solutions with business and technology objectives.
  • Responsible for executing roadmap activities by working together with vested customers, PMO, architecture, and engineering to design, build and implement solutions.
  • Accountable for operational performance, support, tactical lifecycle management and continuous improvement for a component.
  • Strong technical skills and experienced with system requirements analysis and data driven decision making · Ability to learn new technical concepts and systems · Ability to translate a strategic architectural plan into a tactical operational plan for a complex global environment.
  • Strong ability to influence and ensure efficient and effective delivery of operational plans · Experienced working in a project environment and ability to manage and run projects · Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant technical and business work experience · Experience working with virtual teams · International mindset with clear goal orientation · Multicultural and international experience and scope · Demonstrates customer, quality, cost, and delivery focus · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Excellent command of the English language · ITIL foundation certification Special Requirements : · Flexibility to travel for up to 25% of time including outside of home country.
  • Flexibility in working hours in order to hold meetings with colleagues in other timezones.
