Reporting directly to the Iberia Controller, the Account Purchases, located in Barcelona, will support LivaNova Spain in accounting all finished products purchases, assets purchases and all distribution and logistic matters in order to participate in the Finance Department's achievement of strategic goals.

Additional responsibilities include cost accounting, variance analysis, inventory finished products variances, inventory of assets follow up, reporting and internal controls.

Main activities and responsibilities will be as follows :

  • Accounting in SAP all invoices of purchase products, assets, transports, courier services both inter-company or third parties.
  • Month End Close journal entries and performs associated duties (inventory and purchases related).
  • Reconcile inventory subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger, determine causes of discrepancies, and make appropriate corrections.
  • Provide monthly Purchase Price Variance (PPV) report and analysis.
  • Responsible for all fixed asset accounting transactions and monthly depreciation accounting through specific SAP application.
  • Support others within Finance and in other functional areas by providing requested data, answering accounting questions, participating in cross-
  • functional teams and provide training as appropriate.

  • Responsible for monthly inter-company payments and Inter-company reconciliation.
  • Prepare all payments in accordance with supplier payment terms into Payment Factory of SAP.
  • Proactively supports LivaNova Spain ISO activities.
  • Follow up movements of equipment on loan to clients.
  • Prepares and submits monthly reconciled Intrastat report.
  • Maintains full compliance with LivaNova Group Code of Conduct and all other relevant Company policies.
  • Provide support to the Finance External and Internal Auditing processes.
  • Any other duties that may reasonably be requested from time to time.
  • The ideal candidate should have :

  • Strong work experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor in Business Administration / Economics or High school graduate with relevant experience. Some accounting coursework and some specific training on logistics are preferred.
  • The individual must be a professional and assertive communicator displaying methodical, highly organized and self-sufficient working practices and excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be capable of reacting positively to change in an organization and group that is constantly and rapidly evolving.
  • With best practice and continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
  • Experience with or working knowledge with SAP, FI-MM modules.
  • Medium level of English language is needed.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and other business software tools required for professional financial analysis and communication.
