OPM’s latest client is a fast-growing start-up, led by leaders with proven success in mobile games, located in beautiful Barcelona.
They have recently partnered with a top publisher endeavouring to create the next generation of hit mobile games.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Technical Artist with excellent knowledge of tool development who is ready to be part of a growing technical art team, to enable artists and designers to concentrate on the creative process.
REQUIREMENTS :
Good professional experience and sophisticated understanding of CGI pipelines and tools
Thorough understanding of 3D graphics and animation
Proficient with Python, Maya API, PyQt, Maya plugins and custom nodes.
Understanding of one or more programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, etc.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software architecture
Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
Passionate about tool development and empowering others to work to their best potential
Good eye for detail, thorough and organised working habits
Service-oriented attitude with an eye for efficiency
Good English communication skills and can collaborate well with an art team
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Design and implement high quality development tools for the creation of art assets
Automate art content creation workflows and best practices
Communicate with other departments to develop and improve their asset creation pipeline
Create high quality code using a TDD approach
Maintain tools for performance, stability, and error-free operation
Detect and resolve pipeline issues and discover opportunities for improvement
Review code, data, and asset commits through various phases of development
DESIRED SKILLS :
Experience as Technical Artist, Rigger, 3D Artist or Animator
Experience with one or more game engines
Experience User interface (UI) design
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or related field
