  • Global Payroll Accounting Lead*Chemours is seeking a Global Payroll Accounting Lead to join our growing Finance team! This position will report directly to the Operations Controller and will be located in our Asturias, Spain location.
  • JOB SUMMARY*This role will have direct responsibility to manage and coordinate all global accounting activities of the payroll process, including managing a team of 4-6 staff and collaborating closely with the global HR Operations and Payroll team who are accountable for the payroll processes and systems that support our global workforce of over 7,000 individuals in more than 25 countries.
  • The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following : Develops and maintains accounting policies and procedure documentation for payroll accounting activities* Responsible for ensuring the internal controls (SOX) over payroll accounting are designed and operating effectively* Manages the contractual scope, compliance and overall relationship with staff supporting the payroll accounting activities at the Company's outsourced accounting provider* Plans and manages the general ledger activities of the payroll accounting staff associated with the Company's weekly, and bi-weekly payroll runs* Oversees the accounting for staff costs payable (accruals) associated with employee payments and benefits, including the related monthly and quarterly reconciliations* Produces management reporting used to monitor the correct classification of payroll costs by cost center* Supports global consolidated and local statutory financial statement audit requirements* Defines requirements and oversees the maintenance of the finance master data for payroll-related areas (general ledger accounts, cost centers, etc.
  • Collaborates with HR Operations and Payroll teams on special projects such as changes to HRIS systems and outsourced provider relationships to ensure financial accounting and controls considerations are raised and addressed*.
