PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a Commodity Buyer PPM to join our Procurement team in Trapaga. In this role, you are responsible for using of professional purchasing practices & techniques and ensure parts / services / goods availability (PR product related) while maintaining overall cost and inventory at the lowest level and highest quality (TCO).
Also you will maintain daily contact with suppliers to ensure supplier quality and On-time-delivery, you will align with Global Procurment on the strategic Supplier panel as well as for the scope in regional responsibility with internal stakeholders of Regional Commodity Management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage purchase contracts for projects and operations within the framework
Coordinate and manage project material
Define the purchasing strategy in relation to the punctual delivery together with the operative business
Continuously adjust the quantity and technical change of the order to the project requirements
Ensure that the quality of the supplier meets the technical specifications and work with the quality and supplier performance team to minimize the cost of non-compliance;
Collaborate with other functions to ensure project success by representing procurement at meetings and work autonomously to solve problems, but notify management if necessary;
Assessment of the risk in the delivery and coordination with the project manager for the procurement to an acceptable risk level of the project and consideration in the trade negotiations with the supplier
Development of a first class supplier performance
Maintaining and developing the relationship with suppliers, negotiating with suppliers and placing orders or the entire framework contract for special projects
Manage terms and conditions with suppliers
Explore continuous ways to reduce material costs
Implement local savings initiatives
Qualifications
Engineering degree or Commercial degree with technical background
At least 2 years of experience within a relevant role.
Good knowledge in business management and software applications like MS Office, SAP
Excel management and Visual Basic Programming
Spanish (mother tongue), good spoken and written English and knowledge of German would be a plus
good communication skills
Knowledge of the industry would be a plus
