  • Lead the overall coordination and management of the bidding / structuring processes from a developer / equity investor perspective from beginning to end
  • Negotiate relevant equity teaming and project bidding agreements.
  • Develop and manage detailed bid budget for all third party costs.
  • Manage and coordinate the engagement of all relevant developer and lender advisors.
  • Lead the preparation of Request for Qualification (RFP) submissions.
  • Develop and implement project specific bid management plans.
  • Develop in consultation with all team members an overall schedule and track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with the lead project management team members the development of the bid deliverables from a finance, design, construction, operations, and life-cycle standpoint.
  • Represent the company and the project team as the project bid director in meetings with procuring authority / client, and counterparties
  • Work closely with the legal team in the negotiation of commercial and contractual terms associated with the DBFM Agreement, Design-Build Contract and the Maintenance & operation or Facility Management Contracts , as well as the power purchase agreements.
  • Work closely with the finance team to secure project financing, including coordination of lenders technical, insurance and legal advisor processes.
  • Develop in consultation with (finance, legal and construction and operations) the estimates for the concession for the whole term of the project.
  • Responsible (together with finance and legal) for preparation of corporate approval requests including project risk assessment and equity investment and returns
  • Upon commercial and financial close, coordinate with construction and operations the transition of the project to construction.
  • Reporting to on-going bid progress, budget and strategy.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, advisors and clients.
  • Conduct project reviews focusing on lessons learned in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Improve upon best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Other ad-hoc work to be performed to support other development activities or activities with the finance, legal or technical groups.
  • Travel required on a regular basis across different countries to attend both internal team and client meetings
  • Requirements :

  • Degree in engineering with a strong academic track record.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience and at least 4 years of successful experience in energy project development / finance environment.
  • Working proficiency in Spanish and English (absolutely necessary).
  • Responsibilities cover a wide scope of expertise and require quick learning, flexibility and adaptability, as well as an acute sense for detail.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to coordinate an integrated team of partner companies in the pursuit of bid from initial teaming to financial close.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Must be able to both lead and work within a team oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experienced negotiator with a strong commercial understanding of the different contractual frameworks used in renewable energy projects.
  • Strong people management skills with previous team management experience being essential, including the ability to motivate others to deliver and defuse tension among team members should it arise.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), consultative approach and able to influence others to support objectives.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Specific P3 experience would be a plus.
