The purpose of the role is to control all the mechanical aspects of material handling systems for Dematic.
Key responsibilities :
To create cost effective structural solutions in relation to material handling systems.
To assist mechanical design engineers develop system layouts within building and services constraints.
To provide system integration drawings and technical specifications.
To provide loading calculations for the detail design of structures.
To give advance notice of materials required to purchasing department.
To approve and issue specialist supplier / subcontractor designs and details for manufacture and construction.
To provide access solutions for maintenance and egress in-line with local regulations.
To create manufacturing drawings and parts lists for equipment within scope of supply.
To liaise with sales project managers and solutions teams during sales phase.
To liaise with mechanical engineers, project managers, customer and sub-contractors during order execution phase.
To liaise with and provide technical information to any department so entitled, i.e. purchasing, projects, service, spares.
What We Are Looking For
Technical skills & Knowledge :
Essential : Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Desirable : Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
Around 5 years experience in a similar role
